Can't Wait for Christmas Day?!?

Thatcher just came into the room and asked me "What can you do with Coal?"
Hope your days are going better than mine!

Thatcher, go ask Jane, she made a list. Too funny! We love you Thatch-Man. :)

Jane says she can throw it and sit her Barbies on it. How creative. I'm sure she can come up with many more. She is too good at being bad.

My favorite Christmas ornament ever was the one Mr. Kolby gave Shauna's 6th grade class. He gave them a plastic egg with a piece of coal in it He said that if they kept it, it would someday turn into a diamond, just like them.

It was clear plastic so you could see the coal

Growing up our house was heated with a coal stove in the living room. My Dad would have LOVED having a bunch of coal brought to him for Christmas! ;)

I think I'm one of only a few 30 something year olds that can actually say that they've hauled in coal from the coal bin to keep the fire going... ;)

Gotta love my childhood! :)
