It's officially time to put school behind us and focus on what our kids really need to learn. I don't mean the stuff we have to teach them...
when to use 911
about strangers
how to treat people of all ages
how to treat our planet
or sharing
I mean the GOOD STUFF...the things every kid should know.
Like...
How to whistleHow to make a paper airplane (Great Link on my sidebar!)
Skipping a rock
how to use a pocket knife
tree climbing
a proper cannon ball!
how to arm wrestle
how to identify poison ivy (by getting it, of course)
How to build the perfect couch cushion fort
spit wads, or not- on that one
how to tell good ghost stories
So let's get out there and 'educate' our kids!

Now are you the one teaching them all that stuff? Where did you learn? You must have meant to be a boy:)
Teach Talley while you are at it. She could use that stuff.
I love summer! I wish it would warm up so we could have more fun!
I wish my kids were old enough to learn that stuff. Right now I'm educating them on how not to leave the sink running while the plug is down and how now to throw all my tupperware away while I'm not looking. AND I get to do this fun educating ALL YEAR ROUND! Lucky me.
I think you are the best Boy Mom I know. Send Tally my way when she wants to make bracelets and bows. :)
NOW don't I feel silly that I was going to teach safety at Tyler Cousins! I guess I will have to include that we don't play with rocks or pocket knifes also.
You must have the "Dangerous Book for Boys" going on.
That's my kind of educating!
Fantastic list! Can I just have my kids come hang out with you? That looks EXHAUSTING!
Can you teach me too. I'm a geeky girl who can do none of that. That must be why I have 3 girls (:
You are so cute Becky. Let's get together and teach our kids some of these things this summer eh? LOVE your blog girl!
When is class in session? Sign us up!
