Strength of Character

So, Epilepsy. Right? It SUCKS!

My little Thatch-man has been so great through all of this! Let's face it, he is my stinker. At home he is a challenging child. It's totally enhanced by his medications, but he has a mind of his own and ain't no one tellin' him how it is!

Today we went for one of his many blood draws, he calls them - blood shots-. He is such an amazing little sh*# when were there! He sits so still and expresses his nerves but gets through it really great and really quick! He has totally risen to the occasion every time we've needed him to!
I am so proud of him and his inner strength. It's weird but I think he's being strong for me!
He's amazing

ps, if, and I really hope not, you ever need any sort of lab work done on your child - Primary's Lab is THE only place to go! Today one of them put a ball on his head and found a pink baton. Then he put on a whole little "Dark Thader" show for us. Their prizes are huge, too!

poor little guy. Becky, I am so sorry that you and your family have to deal with this. I hope things start to get better with Thatcher. He is so cute...

Wow, such a crappy thing for all of you! It's funny my oldest has been a stink from day one, stubborn headstrong thing and she is my child that has a pretty big obstacle too so I guess it's just what they need to overcome what they are going to have to battle in this life. Now if I can just remember that when she's pushing my buttons!

Rocket man is so brave. When he got stung by a bee last summer, he said he tried to run after it, so he could "bam it!"
He is a stinker, but the cutest stinker I have ever seen. His Grandma

What a brave little guy! I am amazed at him and your family. He'll get over this, I know he will. We all have trials and they are horrible most of the time!

He is such a cutie. Aren't boys fun? They say and do the greatest things. And, sometimes the worst!

There's always so much more inside than you ever see. Many times it's the challenges that make people so great (especially the little people). You guys are finding your way through a tough thing. It both breaks your heart and grows it to know he is being tough for you. Hang in there and know we all love you! XOXO, Anne

It's never fun to see little innocent children go through pain, even if they are little s*#@s!
Poor little man.

wow, Beck. So inspired how you handle your life. SO gracious.

These kinds of situations draw out the true character of people. You've got a pretty incredible, courageous little boy there.

And the sassier the better, in this day and age they need to be strong, sassy & even a bit stinkerish to make it through.
The little girl crazy sweetheart.
:)
good luck my dear.

I didn't know Thatch had epilepsy! Not fun. The meds usually have awful side effects, huh? Its also so scary to witness seizures, you feel so helpless. Are his seizures well controlled with his meds? PCMC is the best. I worked there before I had Jonah. It amazes me that people take their kids elsewhere with such a great facility so close by. I could go on for hours about how great PCMC is if you have a child with medical concerns. They really do care about helping the child through the awful experience of needing medical care.

I had no idea that Thatcher had epilepsy. That has got to be so rough to deal with. I completely agree about Primary - they are the bomb diggity.
He is pretty amazing - and so are you! :)
