Anyone else a FAN?

My boys are totally into Lego's...I love it. Such a great toy! Creative, problem solving, fine motor skill improvement, I could go on and on.

Problem is...I love to play them as much as my boys. Only...I only like to follow the instructions and they are more into "ship building".

Since our trip to Legoland, we have acquired a few assorted kits. I think I am ready for this one...I've heard it's a bugger! 10,143 pieces...WOW. I think I'm +16 years old?

Only downside? an Oral 9 month old about to start crawling!

That is Preston's favorite thing right now. He has put together most of the Star War's sets but we haven't attempted the Death Star. Let us know how it goes.

Whoa! That does look like a bugger. I have funny memories of you and your sisters with puzzles. I remember a certain sister (YOU!) spiriting one piece away so she could always put in the last dramatic piece of the puzzle. Do you do that with the legos?

Ooooo. Can my kids come and play at your house? They would love it if I would play Legos with them, but I am one of those moms who is just out to perpetually disappoint them....

Becky, it's great to see your blog and read your witty thoughts! That's great you live across the street from Amy...I also know Travis Morgan well too. One of my best friends is moving on your street but on south side of 27th. Small world. Tell your dad hello, I love him!

You really could be mom of the year minus the "I am in kid-hell" stuff (said in my best southern accent)! I had fun with you guys last night!

This cracked me up. I'm so the same way about following the directions. I have to take deep breaths and walk away when my kids are just willy-nilly building stuff. Hello, that's not what the picture says! I really do think they're better off by being creative, but it's still hard for me.

We love Star Wars and legos at our house. However, legos are off limits for Grey presently. He and a friend took apart his castle that took about 6 hours to build (some of the pieces are gone) Jonah is obssessed with Star Wars right now. The Death Star would be a big hit at our house!

Micah LOVES legos. I like the legos because it keeps him busy:) What a good mom to actually play with your kids ;)
Now he is only allowed to keep them downstairs to due Maddie and the chocking hazard.

My kids are starting to get into them. Legos and Magnetix. I love them because they entertain themselves with them for HOURS at a time...peace and quiet for me!

the last time we had Legos out I stepped on one and then proceeded to gather them up off of the floor and throw them away.
yeah, I've inflicted trauma. Lego trauma.

Of course we love(d) legos too! I have bins and bins of them. Now the hardly get played with. The same goes for all of our many star wars ships and figures. Bummer! We'll save them for the grandkids - 30 years from now!
