The one with her face smashed up against the glass is my fave.

Maybe it's you, not her?

She's way too stinking cute! I couldn't leave her either.

But if you have to, then I'd use duct tape. Works for me.

That little birdie is such a little "Momma's girl". I love that she goes to her grandpa though. Just give it time, she will get over it.

Oh man....it sounds just like my house. I just talk to her the whole time that I am out of her sight. i.e. I am running down the stairs to put laundry from washer to dryer; she is yelling at the gate at the top; I am saying "momma's here" "here I am" "La La La" ....can't wait for her to get over THAT. Nothing you can do really, it is just developmental. This too shall pass :)

The other night we were talking about Tally and my girls said "Mom, it's Birdie!" I love that she is named after her mom. C is doing the same stuff lately following me around all day crying, help!

I can't believe how old she is! Weren't you just pregnant? Unfortunately I don't have any words of wisdom for you. Good luck!

Becky, thanks for inviting me to view your blog. Your kiddos are beautiful! I too have no words of wisdom. Sorry. I guess only ... Isn't it great to be needed and wanted by someone? :)

There really isn't much you can do, except enjoy it if you can. They don't need you like that forever (which is good I guess). Makes me a little melancholy I don't have anybody that small anymore, but eventually you have to turn that corner, right? She is so cute. Can't wait to see you Sunday!

I'm afraid I have to agree with Kami. It is you and not her. I mean come on Beck, she's one. You just need to brave leaving her more. She'll still love you I promise.

Oh my gaaawsh. She is soooo cute!

My solution: take her everywhere. She'll grow up way too fast and won't want you around.

AS the other of a seriously independent first child, and a starting-to-be-clingy 2nd child, my advice is just to not give into it. Give a kiss and hug and an explanation if you want before you leave, and then leave. The more you give into it, the worse it gets. Like heroin. But cuter.

Why would you even want to leave that cute thing - ever??

Those pictures are awesome. . .they truly "tell a thousand words"

In the meantime, I think it is okay to be annoyed with the clinger--I've got one I'm ready to flush!

Priceless photos Becky. I love that you call her Birdie. How did that originate?
